It's not if you have toxins, but how toxic are you?

We all know that pollution is a problem in our environment, but you may not be aware that it’s a problem within your body as well. There is no need to ask whether or not a person has a problem with toxins – the answer is simple. If you eat, breathe, or drink you have toxins in your body.

The following is an interview with a friend of mine who had this surgical procedure back in 2000.

Dr. Kendra: Joann, tell me what life was life was like for you before the operation?

Joann: I feel that I had a hormonal, biochemical problem. My body always signaling it needed food. It was both true hunger and psychological cravings. I’ve been Dieting since I was 10 years old. I would go on rigid 1,000 calorie diets and I felt so much deprivation. Once did 500 cal a day with a physicians weight loss center. I know it made me lose muscle mass and slowed my metabolism. I’ve lost 1,500 pounds over a lifetime. Lots of yo-yo dieting. I’ve been to Weight Watchers countless times. (starts crying).

Coconut flour can be used to make delicious tasting muffins, cookies, pies, cakes, and other breads and baked goods.  It is high in fiber, low in carbohydrate, and completely gluten free, making it ideal for people who need to reduce their carbohydrate intake or for those who are allergic to wheat or gluten.  Coconut flour can be added to recipes to increase health-promoting fiber and reduce carbohydrate and calorie content.

How Apple Cider Vinegar Benefits Your Natural Weight Loss

Consuming vinegar before a meal can be greatly beneficial for weight loss and diabetes.

According to the results of a 2005 study, two tablespoons of vinegar taken prior to eating dramatically reduced insulin and glucose spikes in the blood that occur after high carbohydrate meals. Chronically elevated glucose levels can lead to diabetes and weight gain, heart disease, kidney disease, and nerve damage.

    Getting Your Daily Fiber In

There are two types of fiber: soluble and insoluble. Foods on the Enlita program for natural weight loss that are high in insoluble fiber include nuts and seeds, green beans, zucchini, cabbage, beets, carrots, cauliflower, and tomato and apple skins. Grains, which we do not generally recommend unless they are low in gluten and/or properly prepared through soaking/lacto-fermenting, also contain insoluble fiber.

Including a variety of cultured/lacto-fermented foods and beverages in your daily diet is a very healthy practice because these foods are excellent for restoring and maintaining intestinal health. Everyone, particularly those with immune system issues and digestive disorders, can benefit from eating more cultured foods.
