What do we eat between the time of detox and when the hcg?

What do we eat after we complete the detox but before the HCG begins. I noticed that won't start until the teleseminar on Oct. 15. So, what are we supposed to be eating in the meantime? Are we supposed to be loading?
Thanks.

What do we eat between the time of detox and when the hcg?

Hi Janice!

I am really excited to hear all comments with all of you starting your HCG protocol. I can't start until Nov. 27th--Thanksgiving Day of all things. We will be on a cruise. What a better way to do the uploading stage!!!!

Oh I am SOOOOOO jealous! But you are so right! That's that perfect way to LOAD! I hope you have a great time. Where are you sailing?

Me, too. Although I am not much into sweets, I am not sure how it is all going to go, temptation wise! I actually am doing this through thanksgiving as well. My plan is to show up with protocol foods and fall back on that if there's nothing I can have on the table, which is likely.

Have you joined the Yahoo group yet? there is a wealth of knowledge and experience there, as well as the support you are getting here.

Does the oral HCG have a flavor?

Are you referring to sub lingual? If so, it depends on what you mix it with. I mixed mine with Colloidal Silver and B12. The B12 does have a slight flavor which is not at all unpleasant. I have no idea on the homeopathic mixtures! Hopefully someone using that method will fill us all in.

justjan wrote:
Did you have trouble mixing it?

I had some trouble with my 1ml needles (two appear to be defective). The best tips I can give you are to make sure you draw out the amount of air equal or close to the amount of liquid you are going to be mixing in AND have everything all set out ahead of time and just relax. It is not hard. I was obsessing over having to break the ampule and had visions of it shattering in my hand, but it turns out, my hCG did not come in an ampule after all!

Is it recomended to take no kind of additional supplements during this time?

That I will leave for the Dr's here to answer, as I think that is an individual call. I personally am ONLY taking thyroid, Tension Rx Nighttime, and magnesium, and I will drop the last two if I sense they might be causing a problem. So far I am having great losses.

Welcome to the LOSERS!

I am really excited to hear all comments with all of you starting your HCG protocol. I can't start until Nov. 27th--Thanksgiving Day of all things. We will be on a cruise. What a better way to do the uploading stage!!!! But that also means I will be doing this through Christmas. I felt I could learn through all of you who started ahead of me so please keep the posts coming. After reading what is already here I decided to do the measurements (which I wasn't going to do) and MAYBE a before picture. Does the oral HCG have a flavor? Did you have trouble mixing it? Is it recomended to take no kind of additional supplements during this time? The amount you save on suppliments more than pays for the HCG. Is there anyone else in PA doing this? My name is Janice

Awesome! Thanks LeAnn!

I guess, as always, the best rule of thumb is to listen to your body!

Light exercise and walking, which is what you do during daily activities, not a 30 minute workout daily.

Thanks

IIRC, in the teleconference call, both Dr. Cage and Dr. Pearsall said that light exercise is acceptable and daily walking encouraged. It is not a time to do heavy exercise nor begin something new (other than walking).

Has there been a change to that guideline?

Mitchie,

Congrats on the success.

I do want to add, as jotales did, that you should not be exercising while on any form of HCG.

You are on a very low calorie diet, and need that energy saved.

Thanks,

LeAnn

Re: I'm taking the sublingual HCG

THAT IS SO COOL! Congratulations Mitchie for losing 11.4 pounds so far!! You are SUCH an inspiration to me!

Hey, and thanks for the word of advice on the rice crackers. In rethinking it, I think I will avoid them and all "breads" for the VLCD. I like the added benefit of anti-candida action!

Proud of you,

I'm taking the sublingual HCG

The hunger was always present for me during the first 2 weeks. It seems just last night the hunger was completely gone. I had my stomach growl all the time during the first two weeks, I spread out my food and that seemed to help, I also made a fresh cup of tea as soon as I heard my stomach growling and that also helped. The hunger wasn't such that I had that urgent need to eat; it was just kind of there in the background. But, again, it wasn't so bad that I began to seek out food.

I caught a really bad cold this weekend and had to face the hardest challenge yet, which was not being able to eat any comfort food. I really wanted some chicken broth, or chicken soup, or crackers/toast. I toughed it out. I did have 1 rice cracker and found that I only lost .4 pounds the next morning so I would advise to avoid those. Being a carb addict, I never got the breadsticks, and I want to get rid of any Candida overgrowth, so I thought it best to just avoid them altogether.

So, last night I noticed I wasn't in the mood to eat and had no hunger. I did eat, since I'm sick I want to keep up my strength. This morning I also awoke with absolutely no hunger, which up until now was unusual. So, I'm not sure if it's because it's finally kicking into high gear and taking the hunger pangs away, or if it's because I'm sick. I'll let you know it continues this way.

A quick update, I've lost 11.4lbs since starting the protocol.

I did also read that in P&I. Thanks for passing that on. :)

I am really excited hearing about everyone's success on this protocol!

You may have said, Mitchie, but are you doing SL, IM/SQ, or Homeopathic hCG? Has the hunger abated? What dose are you doing?

THANKS for the advice of taking measurements! I wasn't really motivated to do that, but now I think I will! Measurements, photos, and an excel charting of it all, including daily weight loss, foods eaten, exercise, moods, etc. Thanks for inspiring me!

Mitchie-Congrats!

HI..I just read your post and am really excited to hear of your weight loss!
I've been doing the GB/Liver Rx for 2 days now. seem to be tolerating it...which is great for me as I am so sensitive...well I am having a bit of heavy heart pounding but food has done way more than that to me for years. I'm going to be sure to get my water in and do some light walking. Bad part is that I'm like totally out-of-control on carbs; but this started on the weekend. I'm searching my cupboards to see if I have some glutamine to take tomorrow. So I start the homeopathic HCG this MOnday.
As far as exercise...Dr. Simeons didn't have his pts. do much....said to rest as you needed it, if I recall correctly.
I did take a pre-photo....UGHS! but hearing your results, I will be sure to take my measurments before the HCG.
Continued great success! jotales

Yes, I do refer to the yahoo group for HCG. The fat around your organs you don't want to lose, you need a little bit to protect them. That's part of the reason the loading phase is important. Some people load for 2 weeks, if they've been dieting a lot, to build that fat layer around their organs.

I really wished I had taken measurements! I thought about taking a little more of the HCG, but I'm still experimenting with the eating. Today, I'm eating my fruit in the AM, I had my protein at 12, and then at 2 I will have my veggie, then 4:30 my protein and veg, then my last fruit around 6. I'm going to see if that helps. Luckily, the hunger is there, but my desire to overeat/cheat is not.

Oh WOW, Congratulations on the loss already!!! Woohoo!

Now mind you I have barely scratched the surface of learning about hCG, but from what I am gleaning from the hCG Yahoo group is many of the people there are upping their doses if they feel hunger, when they've loaded properly like it sounds like you did.

What do the Enlita hCG pros say on changing dosages??

I really need to do some dedicated study on the protocol and some back reading on the HCG Board (you are speaking about the Yahoo group?). Today and tomorrow are my days to gorge on hCG info!!

Oh and my thoughts back to you on the topic of "what to eat during the big wait?" are that what I am eating, to me, is not VLC. It is just free of most common allergens and engaging my cleansing organs fully in their job.

IIRC, you lose fat around organs when you eat VLC, right?

{{{Hugs}}} Mitchie! GLAD you got your hCG and so ecstatic that you are losing!!!

Thanks for the info

I thought I should try to keep the foods lighter and easily digetable, but I was concerned as I read on an HCG board that you shouldn't diet before a round of HCG as it can take the fat around the organs. So, I did a two extra load days. I did recieve my HCG and started the oral protocol on Wed 10/15. I did gain 3 pounds during the loading phase, but I lost those during the first two days of the 500 cal diet, and have lost an additional 2.8 pounds! I wish I had taken measurements at the beginning, because I can already feel a noticable difference in how my clothes fit.

The only draw back is, I don't always feel so hot, but it could be just the first week adjustment. I used to work out with a trainer 3x a week and do pilates 1x a week, but I don't have a lot of excess energy, so I'm going to try my pilates class but just 30 mins instead of 60, and try a workout with my trainer. If I feel okay I will do 2x with the trainer and 1x 30 minutes with pilates. I've been working out for a year, so I hope my body does okay with it.

I've also been hungry. It's not so bad that I feel like I might bindge. It's more like I have the physical sensation of hunger, but not a very strong desire to eat. I usually will grab some tea and that helps, a lot!

What do we eat between the time of detox and when the hcg?

Hi Mitchie,

I see that no one has answered your post, so I will reply with what *I* am doing! :)

I am currently through week 19 on the Enlita program, so what I am doing is pulling menu items from the first 3 weeks and the detox weeks. My thoughts there are to just keep the body free from inflammation (common allergens and heavy foods) and to continue the detox process. I am not sure what week you are on, but in my personal opinion, if you stick with the first weeks prior to the elimination challenge, you can't go wrong. I believe that the loading is best to only do as directed while on the hCG dosing. Otherwise, you are just going to be over-eating, IMHO.

Do you have tracking info on on your shipment and did you order from drugdelivery?

Anyone have any other thoughts on what to eat during the "big wait"??
