Please list the types of seeds that you mean when you say we should eat nuts and seeds.

I have purchased chia seeds. They are just as small as poppy seeds. Do they need to ge ground, like flaxseeds, to make their nutrients available? Currently, flax are the only seeds that I grind. Which seeds should be ground and which seeds can be eaten whole?

Also, I wasn't very successful in popping chia seeds. A few did pop but most did not. I had to stop the popping process when they were in danger of becoming burned. There was no noticeable difference between those seeds that popped and those that did not.

Poppy seeds are much too small to eat the way you would eat sunflower and pumpkin seeds- they are generally used to add flavor and crunch to baked goods and that is about it. Chia seeds can be eaten as a snack though, and they have an excellent nutritional profile. Some seeds such as quinoa, teff, and amaranth act more like grains and so we recommend them cooked as such, and not raw as snacks...

Sunflower and Pumpkin are the seeds that I have. I hoped there were others that I just didn't know about so I'd have a greater variety to choose from. What about Poppy seeds?

Seeds such as sunflower and pumpkin seeds are inexpensive, readily available and highly nutritious. Basically any nuts and seeds besides peanuts/peanut butter...fresh and unsalted (you can roast them yourself on low heat with some himalayan salt...Does this answer your question?
