Love the plan and feel hopeful about losing weight. I just have one vice - my coffee. I don't know how to give it up or if I can at all.

Is it going to hinder me if I keep drinking my morning coffee? (I drink it black so no sugar or cream would be an issue.)

Please advise if anyone knows.

The Enlita program is advocating healthier choices for warm drinks such as green tea, which is a good source of antioxidants and anti-cancer compounds.

Coffee can also affect sleep, blood pressure, irritate the gastrointestinal system, and contribute to anxiety, to name a few. Decaf is more ideal, particularly organic decaf due to the chemicals utilized in the removing caffeine.

However, we still believe that tea is an overall healthier choice.

Can I have some insight why coffee isn't recommended on this program?

We do recommend avoiding coffee, but it can be hard to go "cold turkey". Have you ever tried to give it up before? Fortunately you avoid using milk products, sugar, or artificial sweeteners in your coffee...So what is it about the coffee that you feel you can't live without? The taste? The energy lift you feel it provides? Please give me a little more information.
