I peaked ahead at the elimination diet and saw that dairy will be tested in an upcoming week, but I did not see milk added or being tested. One of the things I'm really missing is my raw grass fed milk. Would this be substituted for yogurt? I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but this has got to be the hardest thing to give up.

Also, what if you can not stand lacto-fermented foods? I noticed several weeks ahead that our diet will be centered around them. This really concerns me as I will NOT eat sauerkrout, pickles, or kimchee. I don't like that sharp sour taste. I don't even like the smell. I won't let anyone fix sauerkrout unless I am out of the house!

Thanks
Karen

lacto-fermented foods

Let's see. If you really cannot stand them, just omit them and use probiotics instead. It is not that our program revolves around them or anything, its just that they are a wonderful tool for maintaining digestive health plus they provide a taste that is enjoyed by lots of people (just not you!)
Of course I'd hope maybe you'll change your mind and be able to put some in your diet at some point, but if not that is ok!

You can test raw grass fed milk, as well...it's hard for many people to get but if you can, you can certainly use it as one of your dairy testing foods. Anytime dairy is in the menus in the future, you can have raw grass fed milk if you don't react to it.
