Metabolic purpose in ingrediants?

Hello-

If there are foods that we don't care for or do not tolerate listed in the meal plans, I understand that it is OK to substitute something else of the same nutritional value. My question is, are there certain foods in the meal plan that serve as metabolic "boosters"? I like most everything, but I certainly would make extra effort to incorporate something low on my totem pole that helped me burn fat or boost my metabolism.

I like double duty! For instance, I incorporate extra garlic and cilantro whenever possible, because not only do they taste great and boost immune systems, they also help detox heavy metals out of the body.

Thanks!

Dawn

omitting certain ingredients

None of these are essentials- they are more for flavor and variety but if you don't enjoy them just leave them out.

Okay-

Artichoke hearts, roasted jarred red peppers, turnips, swiss chard.

Dawn,
Tell me what you'd like to not eat and I'll tell you if there's any reason you should reconsider...
